For this first solo exhibition at CONFORT MENTAL, Pierre Moulin explores the sites of accidents in the Anthropocene. These are the places where nature encounters human experience: where concrete cracks, where rust eats away, where vegetation infiltrates the ruins of our certainties. Pierre Moulin seeks signs of rebirth. He tracks the cracks through which life resurfaces, generating the unexpected and the strange, challenging the reality of our environments. His works invite us to take a sensitive look at our natural spaces, irreversibly degraded, while reflecting on the dynamics of creation and destruction. "Le Grand Silence," a virtual reality film, envelops us in a constantly evolving landscape. The viewer, plunged into a transitory state, becomes the traveler in an initiatory narrative whose only outcome is a return to Earth. From a decaying room, where only a disheveled bed remains, to a dizzying tunnel of mycelium, the scenes unfold, revealing a multitude of potential landscapes. This return to Earth symbolizes the death of our certainties, of our constructions and dominions, but also carries the promise of a rebirth, where life always finds a way to reappear in another form. When immense buildings melt into the sky, they mark a reintegration into the cycle of life. These structures, symbols of the human era, gradually fade, reintegrated into a nature reclaiming its rights. Passing through this mycelium tunnel thus becomes a necessity to redefine our place in the world. Pierre Moulin's sculptures, called Assets, evoke the modular elements of video games. They are combinations, hybridizations of fantasies, where different species and materials become one. Like a hunter-gatherer, he collects animal, plant, and mineral forms in search of their irregularities. Once scanned and cataloged on his phone, he scrutinizes, analyzes, and dissects them to understand their inner workings. Pierre Moulin is interested in mutating species, proliferating fungi, and wilting flowers, which he constantly deconstructs and reconstructs on his 3D software. Aggregate is a collective process requiring a large number of players to take turns and undergo reinforcement learning (punishment/reward) as they make their way through the wasteland of machine learning and queer desire.At the heart of a vast bramble patch littered with power pylons and abandoned structures, the AI carves—through its arduous passage—the network of aggregated lines of desire that may, on its next run, allow it to reach the object of its longing, held captive in a blind fortress. It hurts itself, collapses, and begins again tirelessly, learning a little more with each attempt. For this first solo exhibition at CONFORT MENTAL, Pierre Moulin explores the sites of accidents in the Anthropocene. These are the places where nature encounters human experience: where concrete cracks, where rust eats away, where vegetation infiltrates the ruins of our certainties. Pierre Moulin seeks signs of rebirth. He tracks the cracks through which life resurfaces, generating the unexpected and the strange, challenging the reality of our environments. His works invite us to take a sensitive look at our natural spaces, irreversibly degraded, while reflecting on the dynamics of creation and destruction. "Le Grand Silence," a virtual reality film, envelops us in a constantly evolving landscape. The viewer, plunged into a transitory state, becomes the traveler in an initiatory narrative whose only outcome is a return to Earth. From a decaying room, where only a disheveled bed remains, to a dizzying tunnel of mycelium, the scenes unfold, revealing a multitude of potential landscapes. This return to Earth symbolizes the death of our certainties, of our constructions and dominions, but also carries the promise of a rebirth, where life always finds a way to reappear in another form. When immense buildings melt into the sky, they mark a reintegration into the cycle of life. These structures, symbols of the human era, gradually fade, reintegrated into a nature reclaiming its rights. Passing through this mycelium tunnel thus becomes a necessity to redefine our place in the world. Pierre Moulin's sculptures, called Assets, evoke the modular elements of video games. They are combinations, hybridizations of fantasies, where different species and materials become one. Like a hunter-gatherer, he collects animal, plant, and mineral forms in search of their irregularities. Once scanned and cataloged on his phone, he scrutinizes, analyzes, and dissects them to understand their inner workings. Pierre Moulin is interested in mutating species, proliferating fungi, and wilting flowers, which he constantly deconstructs and reconstructs on his 3D software. Only when he prints them does he succeed in fixing them. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; This piece is an interactive installation composed of a video game, sculptures and scenography created for the exhibition “SOW THE ECHOES”&nbsp; curated by Emma Brisot &amp; Salome Fau . THE WIND CARRIED IT IN ITS BELLY invites us to rethink our relationship with nature and technology. The player is transported to a virtual forest, where the actual elements of the installation are scanned and integrated in 3D. The landscape uses different types of nature, creating an eerie, hybrid and ethereal ambiance. This moving painting seeks to evoke both a feeling of anguish linked to eco-anxiety and the feeling of the sublime that a forest provides, an immeasurable space. The spectator, accompanied by a flashlight, enjoys total freedom to shape his experience in this organic fiction where each passage will be a different experience. “Far from solastalgia, like an ode to a rediscovered order, Luna-Isola Bersanetti, Louise Le Pape and Pierre Moulin, imagine the contours of a contemporary tale where Nature and Technologies no longer clash. Within a course plunged into darkness, the spectators are included and encouraged to question themselves. Who are the owners of these stripped skins? Since when do these mysterious songs enchant space? Have you ever set foot in this mystical forest? Source of a poetic emulation, the elements organic and artificial interact in the exhibition space to the point of merging to reveal what was hidden from us. Pushing the plastic limits of Luna-Isola Bersanetti porcelain to the limits, it releases a new sound quality. Like an ancestral song to call the rain, the ceramic petals collide in a hypnotic dance, leaving a fleeting presence and an emaciated costume in an intriguing setting. Pierre Moulin through these plots of nature plays with our perception of organic and mineral forms. Sometimes strewn on the ground around us, sometimes hidden in a projected video game, it ironically questions our loss of sensitivity to nature by using new technologies. Louise Le Pape, a discreet gleaner, goes in search of the fragility of the croaking of frogs to release new sounds at the border of electronic music. It’s a gigantic hybrid garden where we can enter and explore the biome at the scale of an insect. The environment was made by photogrammetries of plants, minerals and insects and use their organic textures to reivented and abstract naturals patterns. The Song Trapper (2025), is a video installation melding moving images, virtual performance, and sound. Shown on LED screens, the video features the first character created by the artist. Born from an ink and watercolor drawing, the Song Trapper was modeled in 3D and then animated in virtual environments. Unable to speak, they travel through these worlds, collecting sounds from the surrounding environment, which they then assemble, remix, and reproduce using musical devices attached to their clothing. During their journey, the Song Trapper crosses deserts, marshes, and salt flats in search of fragments of voices and traces of sounds. The narrative is guided by a free-verse poem written by the artist, which appears as a subtitle. T he collection diverges from traditional Courrèges norms. Instead of sticking to conventional designs, the collection sees shapes bending and evolving, adapting fluidly to the body, allowing wearers to interpret them as they see fit. My journey included attending sessions with the accessories development team and the artistic direction, modeling designs based on drawings and workshop measurements, 3D printing the creations, and finally, preparing the pieces for the fashion show at Parc des Expositions de Versailles. We worked on a meeting scene between the two avatars in an organic digital space in which the protagonists are locked in video game boxcolliders. Each character is surrounded by an aura of high definition resolution that disintegrates with distance.
